PROJECT 6 (ANALYSIS OF HBP)

Every single leaf falling down brings a meaning.
Every second of time comes with a certain implication.
Have u ever clear about what is actually happened in your surrounding in every moment of your life?
Or you r just busying with your own business?

There are billions of incidents happened in the world in the time of 1 second.
How much can we sensed is base on how keen we are on the environment.
And such sensitivity is really needs by a builder.
He have to ensure the comfort of a site, its climate, characteristics and others before they start a building project.
As we are the next generation that will involve in the built environment are given this project.

The project is about to require students to produce an analysis of school of HBP on a A2 size medium,
base on the theme information, promotion or design concept.

I was chose information and design concept as my theme(hybrid interpretation).
As we are one part of HBP, we need to know more about the details of our school,
or else we cannot promote it to people that are interest on our school.
Beside, I wish to share my idea on how to make our school better than before.

and I joint it to form 1 picture.

After I get all the data I need, then I start to apply it on cartilage paper.
Half-done project.

concept design-HBP Hybrid House
Explain a little bit on my concept design:
The building is called HBP Hybrid House, which will be built at behind the E08.
Its design applied the technique of accretion and subtraction so that the building will not look board.
The building consists of 2 storage.
Ground floor is the stationary shop which specially selling those items for our school members' need.
Upfloor is a cafe and stuudents' project gallery.
The materials used are majority on transparent element such as glass to allow penetration of natural lighting,
so that it can save electrical energy.

project completed.

This is the final project that is done by individual.
Means that start form the next project and onward will do in group.
It will be another challenge for me I think.
Anyway the most important is just do all it by heart.

Because we are persist, therefore we are still here.

PROJECT 5 (THE MASK)

In society nowadays,
peoples are acting by wearing a mask.
The relationship between one to another becomes not be trusted,
Suspicion builds a gap to each others.
All of these is base on one reason- appetence.
We are asked to produce a mask of feeling when enter into a space in this project.
What I feel when I get the title of this project is it need some psychological way of thinking,
some sounds from the deepest part of soul to express the feel of the mask.
The procedure of making the mask:

  1. Put tissue papers on the face as a base of the mask.

paste newspapers on the first tissue layer.

   3.
put white papers as the last layer of the mask.
completed!!
   4.   Use hair dryer to dry the mask. And finally the shape of the mask is formed!

outlines is drawn to design the mask.

Last but not least, the mask is completed!! And his name is The Joker Kelvin.
The Joker Kelvin

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A story behind the mask:

Kelvin works in a circus as a joker.
His role is to entertains audiences in oder to make them happy(sell fun to other).
Unfortunately, he has a daughter which suffering from congenital heart disease.
He needs money to support his daughter's medical expenses.
The joyful on his face on the stage is not real. And he has totally lost his beat sound from the deepest part of his heart.
On the other hand, his work becomes like selling his happiness to others.

Inspiration:
Peoples are doing things that always not their wish.
They scare to chase for their dreams, worry that what they want is an impossible destination.
Many of us trying to give up on the half way when they face to obstacles,
but they don't know that he only left last step to reach destination.
A statement:
Is humanity define the frame of society, or is the society dominate the form of humanity?

The yellow cards in front of his eyes reveal  that his job has blind his sight.
He doing the thing which is not his wish.
If you can see to him carefully, his mouth is actually adulterate  some sad feeling,
but has make up with a smiling face to cover his sadness.
The use of black and white colour to separate his face to symbolize the division of the real himself and the fake himself.
The upside down love shape on his chin shows the need of love of him from others.

This is overall story that I want to bring out.

Do not always cover up your own
And deceive ourselves
Remove the armed

Being the most primitive of you
And life will becomes simple

PROJECT 4B (BLUEPRINT)

When we have completed our sculpture, we are asked to draw out the views of that sculpture,
which is the demand from Project 4B.

We are required to draw out the orthography and axonometry drawings base on our sculpture.
I was found it is interesting to me when I was trying to draw out my Sequoia because I can see every site of beauty of it.

Again I used water colour to complete my work, so that I can improve my technique of using water colour since I am not talented on it. (really hope that I can master it once a day)

Well, nothing much to comment about this project. For the details on the idea and concept of my sculpture-Sequoia, please refers to:

And below is my final appearance of my Project 4B
isometric drawing...together with 'Sequoia'.

PROJECT 4A (SCULPTURE)

The word sustainability is derived from the Latin sustinere (tenere, to hold; sus, up).
Dictionaries provide more than ten meanings for sustain, the main ones being to “maintain", "support", or "endure”.
However, in term of built environment, sustainability is refers to eliminate negative environmental impact completely through skillful, sensitive design.
Manifestations of sustainable design require no non-renewable resources, impact the environment minimally, and relate people with the natural environment.

Comes to our this project, students are require to
-design a sculpture
-with the range of 300mm X 300mm X 600mm
-by using mounting board
-with the colour of monochrome
-and the theme sustainable!

Looks like it gonna to be a tough project work for newbie like us.
Anyway we take it as a challenge.
And honest to say, I'm really impressed by my idea of this project!!Hohohooo...
Well, my concept is...
a pop-out sculpture with the theme of sustainable.
this is the draft drawing of my idea.

when see at the back, it is combination of several leaves.
my final product! Sequoia.

Sequoia..the largest tree among the world

I named my sculpture as 'Sequoia' ,which means the largest tree on the Earth.
The Sequoia is made up of 11 pieces of leaves from small to large and back to small again with difference angles. The meaning behind the design is refers to the growth of nature.
Just same as human, we born as a foetus, and growing up to adults, and finally devolution to elders.
Using the name 'Sequoia' is to emphasis on issue of green environment which may refer to sustainable in the largest scale.
Means everyone of is has the largest responsibility to taking care to our mother nature.
In term of colour, I used blue colour instead of green. This is because I want to come with  the concept of "sea of forest", so it means "blues" is much more greater than a single "green".

The most interesting of my design is that...

IT CAN POP-OUT!!
So it becomes more easy to carry and keep. And of course it save a lot of spaces.
It is also one of the part of sustainability.
Using simple design and the minimum numbers of materials to reduce wastage and energy used.
I am sustainable-ing!!!

most of my friends said it just like Sydney Opera House.

Love our mother nature, before it is too late...~

PROJECT 3B (PERSPECTIVE)

Its very fast to comes to our 6th project.
Now we are ask to draw out our model in previous project in perspective view,
which included 1 point, 2 points and also 3 points view.
the term 'perspective'  is an approximate representation,
on a paper  of an image as it is seen by the eye.
Below are some examples of perspective drawing which I feel is interesting for me:

3 point perspective
3 point perspective

4 point perspective

5 point perspective

Now is the turn to my own project.

I went to my school studio for doing my work in this project.
Start drawing my perspective base on my model-The Black Diamond.

Finished draw 1 point, 2 point and 3 point perspective of my Project 3A.
Coloured the drawing by using my water colour.
BLACK DIAMOND!

mission completed!

All from the Earth will exhaust once a day by time, but there is something will gain against time. That is wisdom.
